Mercury - The Dead Planetby ~Unique-Desire

Mercury is the closest planet to the sun, because of this Solar Flares and its proximity have destroyed whatever gravitational pull it might have had in the past, so there is not atmosphere to protect the surface from meteors and asteroids. As a result the surface is very bashed up looking with many craters and mountains. It's core is completely inactive and has been for ages, earning Mercury the nickname: The Dead Planet. I decided to go for a literal interpretation of the planet. I wanted to look dead and ghostly just like the planet!

lalala, going through looking at pretty, cleverly themed makeup, and wincing at the astronomy.
Solar flares can't destroy gravitational fields. Mercury has mass, therefore it has a gravitational field. But its mass is relatively small, and so its pull is weak, so it can't hold atmosphere against the action of solar winds stripping it away.
Also, Sol, our sun, won't go supernova- it's too small. It certainly isn't going to form a black hole.

Thanks but I am not claiming to be a scientist or anything. I just try to have a brief summary of what I know about the planets, sorry if I get anything wrong. I'm a makeup artist, not an astronomer.

Everything is great here, photos and make up. your work leave us with some sort of heaviness, an oppressive dead silence.
I don't know why but Mercury makes think of wall-e movie lol. I love the way your black and white picture brings up this idea of dead silence. Thus, really like how your eyes shimmer in such a dark "atmosphere", amazing ^^. I am really admirative of your job, your interpretation of Mercury is wonderful
